Eye Allergies
Do your eyes frequently itch, water, burn, swell, or become red during allergy season or around particular exposures? Allergic conjunctivitis often accompanies nasal allergies but can also be the patient’s most troublesome symptom.
Conditions we evaluate:
- Seasonal and year-round allergic conjunctivitis
- Eyelid dermatitis
- Exposure-related eye symptoms
- Contact lens–associated allergic symptoms
Evaluation and treatment may include:
- Environmental allergy testing
- Trigger identification and avoidance
- Prescription or over-the-counter allergy eye drops
- Treatment of associated nasal allergies
- Allergy immunotherapy
- Ophthalmology referral for pain, visual changes, or suspected nonallergic disease
